Cardiac First Responder (CFR)

Aim

This half day course teaches all the basic life support skills for victims of stroke; cardiac arrest; heart attack; choking as well as the relevant legal issues and the administration aspirin. It is designed to provide a basic level of training in the use of a defibrillator and treatment of other cardiac illnesses to those that have no previous experience of responding to a cardiac event.

Who should apply?

This course is designed for those working in or near premises considering installing an automated external defibrillator (AED) on-site as well as those who already have one.

Introduction
Chain of Survival (Adults, Children, Infants)
The 4 major life threats: Heart Attack, Stroke, Cardiac Arrest, Foreign Body Airway
Obstruction
A.E.D. (Automated External Defibrillator) use
Aspirin
